Wedding DJ · Northern Ireland

Your wedding deserves a DJ who actually knows music.

Most wedding DJs have a playlist. We have a conversation. The Soundtrack Co. works with couples who care deeply about music — building a night that sounds like you, not like every other wedding.

Why couples choose us

The DJ who listens before they play.

Before we touch a turntable, we talk music. What moves you. What you hate. What song takes you back to being nineteen. That conversation shapes everything — from your first dance to the last track of the night.

I've spent years obsessing over music across every genre — soul, indie, disco, trad, house, pop — building a library and an ear that most DJs simply don't have. I'm not here to tick boxes. I'm here to make your wedding the one guests talk about on the way home.

A real music consultation

Every booking starts with a proper conversation about your musical identity — not a checkbox form. I want to understand your taste, your crowd, and the exact feeling you want on the night.

Deep genre knowledge

Soul, funk, indie, house, trad, pop — I know the deep cuts, not just the obvious picks. Couples who care about music come to me because I push back if their playlist has gaps.

Reading the room

The best song at the wrong moment clears a dancefloor. I watch your guests all night — adjusting, building, knowing exactly when to drop the song that brings everyone back.

Serious about sound

Quality equipment, no clipped audio, no amateur hour. Your guests will feel the difference even if they can't name it.

The process

Simple from start to finish.

No complicated forms. No generic packages that ignore what you actually want.

02

The music conversation

Before anything is booked, we have a proper call about music — what you love, what you hate, what your night needs to feel like.

03

We build your soundtrack

Based on our conversation, I put together a direction for the night. You get input at every stage.

04

Your wedding night

I arrive early, set up quietly, and spend the night doing one thing: making your dancefloor unforgettable.

05

After the night

If you want a recording of the setlist, I'll send it over. Some couples use it as a playlist for anniversaries.

The music

Every genre. Actually mastered.

Not "I can play that" — genuine deep knowledge. Knowing when a Chic bassline hits harder than a chart hit.

Soul & Funk
Aretha to Prince. The deep cuts that make people stop and ask "what song is this?"
Indie & Alt
Arctic Monkeys to Phoebe Bridgers. For couples who grew up on NME and still care.
Disco & House
Chic, Daft Punk, Masters at Work. The sound that built every great dancefloor.
Trad Irish
From session-style sets to céilí — knowing when and how to bring it in is everything.
Motown & 60s
The songs that work on every dancefloor, every time. Played properly, not lazily.
Pop & Nostalgia
90s, 00s, today. Yes, I know when to play Mr Brightside. And when not to.

What couples say

Don't take our word for it.

★★★★★

"We were so nervous about music — we had very specific taste and didn't want a generic wedding playlist. The consultation call made us realise immediately this was different. Best decision we made."

Sarah & Conor
Married at Ballygally Castle, 2024
★★★★★

"Every single person at our wedding commented on the music. Not just 'the DJ was good' — actually stopping us to ask who he was and where we found him. The dancefloor never emptied after 9pm."

Aoife & James
Married at Killeavy Castle, 2024
★★★★★

"He played a song during dinner that was from our first date — we hadn't even mentioned it. He just picked it up from our conversation. My wife cried. I nearly did too. Genuinely special."

Michael & Donna
Married at Lough Erne Resort, 2023

Questions

Things couples usually ask.

How far in advance should I book?

Most Saturdays book 12–18 months out, especially in summer. If your date is within six months, get in touch quickly and I'll let you know availability honestly.

Do you take requests on the night?

Yes — within reason. I'll always take requests from you and your partner. Guest requests I use as information about the room rather than a queue.

What if we have really specific or unusual taste?

That's exactly who I work best with. Couples with strong musical opinions make the best nights. Tell me everything.

Do you do the MC duties too?

Yes — announcements, introductions, keeping the evening running on time. Warm and natural, not gameshow-host energy.

What areas do you cover?

All of Northern Ireland — Belfast, Derry, Down, Antrim, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Armagh. Travel to the Republic and Scotland considered.

What's your backup plan if something goes wrong?

Redundant equipment for everything critical. Public liability insurance held and available to venues on request.
